Museum Shores Yacht Club

MSYC is located behind (south) of the Museum of Science & Industry between 57th Street and 63rd Hayes Drive.  The address is 5900 South Lake Shore Drive.

MSYC is a Chicago Harbor (59th Street) privately owned yacht club.  It is a members only organization.  The yacht club is located on Chicago Park District land but is solely managed and operated by the members of the club.

MSYC offers Regular and Associate memberships.  Regular means you must have a registered vehicle with a current permit in the 59th Street harbor.  Associate can be anyone interested in boating but the number of memberships is limited.

Yes, MSYC is happy to sponsor your next event.  We offer a variety of service and the Club has three main sections  for use, the Clubhouse, the Patio and the deck.

We host day, afternoon and evening parties.  We also can host business or social meetings.  Birthday parties, family reunions, graduations, receptions, Greek frats and sorority events, etc.  We can accommodate all types of events.

Yes, you can provide your own catering and bring your own liquor/beverages.  We also have catering available to serve your needs as well.  Please let the event coordinator know your specific needs.

No, MSYC is a not-for-profit organization.  No one can charge a fee for people to attend an event.  No one can charge for drinks on the premises.
